- Reason For Anxiety And Discomfort In
Nature - _______________________________________________ ”
I got a question concerning “why is it a sure sign (like you wrote in
your previous article) that when I have anxiety or feeling of discomfort in
nature environments that I am detached from my life energy or the source of
my life energy?” Well,
good and comprehensible question as such! Below I give my reply though I see
that the reply to the question was already given in the text “Nature And
the Harmony Of God”. _______________________________________________ When human being goes to nature
environment where there usually is the state of peace and harmony of
God’s life to be sensed and experienced, its influence upon human
mind-body system is such that, by it’s own harmony and peace, it is
trying to make human mind and its four lower bodies to participate in its
peace and harmony - to
become one with it. And often in many cases this vital life of God is capable
of accomplishing this to some extent. This is why many people cannot help
visiting in nature surroundings; they have become consciously aware of having
really received something which supported their restoration from the state of
psycho-physical exhaustion and stress. And this is as such important, not
only for the true meaning of nature for the obvious personal needs for
revitalization, but also for a more collective awareness of the
interconnectedness of all life in God. But when human being starts feeling
discomfort and anxiety (in the cases that is not related to any kind of
specific trauma) in nature settings, this comes down to a form of resistance the
human subconscious self is setting up towards allowing the harmony of nature
to make him- or herself one with it -
i.e. to become what one truly is in one’s true, sweet personality made by
God. This means that because one is not courageous enough to become once
again what one really is in this innocent and free personality and wants
instead to identify with and hang on to the very unreal superficial
personality with its restlessness, negativity, false loyalties, and its
constant hurries, one unavoidably runs into subconscious conflict with the
loving peace and harmony of the surrounding nature. This subconscious
conflict between the peace of nature and human hurries is the cause of the anxiety
and discomfort one feels in the nature. This is to be generalized also to
social contexts because human subconscious personality carries its ordinary
ambition and need for social prestige along with its many worries coming from
a bundle of false social loyalties. For it is not a rare case at all when
there happen to be harmonious social situation and the human self start
feeling very unpleasant with it too. The reason, seen most fundamentally, is
the same: -
human self cannot tolerate the harmony of others because it has some other
(secret, restless, and selfish) interest to be in the situation and which
then runs into conflict with the harmonious energy. For harmony is not
supporting the separation-seeking or any negative interest to take place. Often, also, people are inclined to be
envious of the possible harmony and peace of others – which comes down
to enviousness of true love this harmony has inside in it, and which these
envious people are incapable of experiencing themselves. This tendency is to
be met relatively often among so called spiritual people -
i.e. they are competing with one another -
usually for the motive “who is the greatest here”. And this only
means that they have not realized where true love lies -
irrespective of the fact that they may often speak a great deal of it! So, the lesson is that human egoic
personality does not permit human I-consciousness to sink into and connect to
the deeper true Self, to God, whose reality vibrates in full harmony with the
pure life of nature kingdoms. That is because human being should give up this
unhappy personality in order to really get into touch with this wondrous
harmony of God’s life. But humans are resisting this when they are in
pain in nature environments or anywhere, for that matter. And usually this is
to be seen from they impatience and restlessness which hinders them from
being really present to peace of nature while being there. There is usually
going on a sort of calculation at some level of human mind reckoning like:
“what am I loosing by spending my time here while I could be securing
my worldly interests to become special and important in some other place (in
the eyes of some others)” - or alternatively “I should call
to my mother so that she is not going to get hurt because I haven’t
phoned to her for days” etc. Thus, to get into touch with reality
of life in you -
and through you in your surrounding -
you have to rid gradually yourself of your reasons to be restless, worried,
over-stressed, negative, or unhappy in any way, or to be too ambitious for
worldly gaining and prestige (which is often the reason for the former
states!). If you allow the human world to become you, you know no harmony and
peace. And hardly can the life of nature really release you from the pain and
agony you gather from your irresistible love of this human world – the
unreal world which is coming with fast speed towards its desperate impasse,
and you along with it if you are one with it -
with this very, very disharmonious and busy human-made world. If you hear now the truth I convey,
just try to find the truth of God’s earth and its harmony and peace
instead of the disharmony of the human world and human self which is one with
it. For the truth of earth’s life is
the truth of your life too - along with the truth of God’s
life, which certainly gives you no pain and anxiety, but the peace and
harmony and freedom from the burden of the human world, human self, In Truth, Matti
